Known as a magician with color, Leo De Vroomen is a master craftsman specializing in gold repose, enameling and bold colorful stones. He employs an enameling technique that gently glazes engraved or patterned gold, accentuating the uniqueness of each exceptional gemstone. His bold and exquisite jewelry is as daringly contemporary in design as it is timelessly elegant.
The designer has received many accolades including, twice, the coveted De Beers Diamonds International Award. In recognition of De Vroomen’s uncompromising pursuit of the highest standards in craftsmanship and design, the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths presented an exhibition of jewelry by De Vroomen in London’s prestigious Goldsmith’s Hall.
Leo De Vroomen was born in the Netherlands and settled in London in 1965. By then a skilled goldsmith, he taught at the Central School of Art, where he met his wife, Ginnie. Today, with his studio/workshop in London, Leo De Vroomen’s jewelry is showcased in a limited number of jewelry stores throughout the county. McCaskill & Company is honored to have been selected to feature these designs.
