Inspired by traditional goldsmithing techniques, John Hardy transforms the exotic essence of Bali into functional and wearable jewelry. He is more than a designer of jewelry, but also a storyteller who is keeping a culture and a past alive through his jewelry and home furnishings. Each piece is created through ancient techniques that make the jewelry as comfortable to wear as it is spectacular. It is this intricate handmade look that has become the Hardy signature.

With designs in sterling silver, which may be accented by 18 karat gold and gemstones, Hardy likes hardiness and durability in his pieces. "They're for people who hated having to polish their grandmother's silver. Most of our silver is completely blackened and then polished, which just brighten the high points, so you can maintain it with a silver glove. It is meant for everyday use, which also keeps it bright."
